I have decided to give my style a little makeover. I am toning everything down and only keeping the essentials: New peaceful me, stress free life, clutter free house and most importantly new minimalist, “clean” wardrobe. No more torturing after the shower to pick my daily outfit. At last.
From now on my eyes will only search for neutral -black, white, beige, grey- colors. 2013 is the year of simplicity and order for me, inside and out. I need my style to mirror my life’s evolution. So let’s keep things chic but SIMPLE. No flowers, ruffles, sequins, stripes or tartans. I am craving good quality basics that I can wear with anything and keep for ages. This is, in essence, the way French ladies like to dress: white shirts, black pants, tan loafers: timeless and subtle, not trendy. My mom’s closet holds only a few luxurious but plain pieces that she keeps for years and mix with anything. To go with that, some French treasures I hope to inherit some day like a Hermes belt and a pair of beige and black Chanel flats. Less is more and this is a whole new, almost purifying way of seeing style.

You have always been the picture of pure unadulterated simple sophistication.
